Evaluation

Meeting the brief -
Throughout the FMP, I've met the brief at a high standard with massive amount of research and also additional screen shots and videos as evidence to what I've managed to produce on Unity when creating my game. And lastly is the finished project it self which is the game. The game is finished at a high level with allot of detail and is also east to understand when playing the game. Overall, I have for sure met the brief with enough evidence and to what Iv'e managed to produce my self in a space of 2 months.

Effect -
The overall finished product has turned very well especially getting feedback from my supervisor  from just watching the video where I showed game play of my game. The style, the lighting, the characters and even the noises really helped to produce a horror genre game and turned out very successfully with a tone of positive feedback.

Research -
The research has been very helpful because, the amount of information I've managed to find and provide to my research task as evidence has given me so much more knowledge when it comes to creating a game on Unity. Lastly what I would do differently next time is find the videos before hand to know what I'm looking for and to be sure those are the videos I'm looking for so that I dont have to keep changing my ideas throughout the making.

The effectiveness of your workflow -
The effectiveness of my workflow was very successful because, throughout the two months of hard work, I was very motivated and also very dedicated in completing my whole project especially my game project. The only issue I had was when I couldn't find a specific tutorial that I needed to include into my game which led me into changing most of my idea's for my game. In order for this to not happen again, I'll have to search the videos before hand so that I dont have to keep changing my ideas constantly throughout the making. This is because, there is a chance I wont be able to find the video I'm looking for .

Scope of the project -
The scope of my project was very challenging as I've pushed my self to achieve high when creating a well made game for the first time. I have made a game before but it does not compete to what I've managed to create for this project as this was next level for me. The whole scripting was however, the most challenging part of my game project because, there would occasionally be errors where I couldn't figure it out till later throughout the day. It didn't stop me from not doing the game but it did however, help me learn. The research wasn't too difficult as there are so many tutorials you can find for certain things however, there is a few where you wont be able to find a specific tutorial for certain things you're trying to find which happened to me quite a bit. The whole re designing my game impacted me quite allot throughout these 2 months as my ideas had to change most of the time. This did however, lead me into delaying it closer to the target deadline which I managed to get it finished before the deadline however, at least I learnt quite allot of the stuff on Unity even if I did have to restart constantly. Overall, I've pushed my self to the best of my ability to create a fully functioning game and to show what I'm capable of doing.

Management -
My management time was perfect as I managed to get everything done before the target deadline even when re doing my whole game constantly. Luckily for me I was making a game unlike most of the other people are doing film where the whole corona situations has impacted them but not me. Making the game isn't easy anyways. The only small thing that kind of impacted me was in fact the whole finding the tutorials on YouTube because, most of the time I couldn't find a specific video. Overall, this was all well maintained through the whole 2 months.

Autonomous learning -
Being self-dependent is less pressuring for me as its my own work that I'm producing and no body else's. What I've learnt about this is that you should always push your self even if you're not as experienced because, you're able to learn much faster that way as you're pushing your self further and further to achieve something major for yourself. The only part that really tested me was the whole understanding on how Unity works however, overtime I'm now way more confident than what I was when I started doing Unity. I've managed to overcome these issues by constantly working on my project and also constantly testing certain thing on Unity.

Pride -
I'm amazed to what I've managed to accomplish as I've worked super hard throughout these 2 months at home and I've spent so much time to try and make the game as perfect as possible and as detail as possible. This was also my first ever major game I managed to create on my own without anyone else doing helping out my game. I'll be keeping this game for sure and all this evidence for the future to look back to what I've managed to achieve and also to show evidence to when I apply for a job.

Skills -
Throughout this project I've managed to develop both soft skills and hard skills. Starting of with soft skills. I've managed to communicate with some people through social media for a helping hand on how to solve certain problems I was having for my game. I used YouTube comment section to communicate with people for help and also on Instagram. This has however, helped me allot when it comes to solving a certain problem. Where as with hard skills, I've managed to use Unity, Adobe Photoshop and also Adobe Fuse. For Adobe Photoshop, I managed to create my self a Main Menu picture for my game. For Adobe Fuse, I managed to create my a self characters for my game. And lastly Unity where I created the whole game to produce the final project.

Future -
The changes I'll make towards my mindset for my future projects is to find tutorials before hand and to see if those videos are the one I need without having to constantly re do most of my creations on Unity. This is so that I dont get frustrated by constantly re doing the work over and over again. What I'll be looking forward the most for my future projects is to show off my skills even further and changing up the genre to a different type of genre game like a adventure type game so that I can learn new skills.
